I'm giving up on him and love?

I knew this guy for 4 years we went out for 4 years and a bad strm ruine dour hometown. I moved to another state and we kept in touch he moved back. We still talk online.Everytime i go to my hometown to visit we always seem to meet up and end up acting like the couple we used to be.We never had closure we just stopped talking since we had to get used to a new life. But we kiss everytime we see each other. But then we just argue over silly things! Really silly things! then we dont tlak for a while then we talk again. He's my frist love and I'm his. He goes out with a different girl like every month and when he claims how much he loved her he breaks up and is on to the new gurl. I know he knows that those other gurls an't compete with all we've been through together and at times he chooses to act like im nothing special when i really am. i try to keep heartbreak away by dating guys but something always goes wrong and something brings me back to my ex! I'm confused? Are we meant to be?Can true love have complications? We were so in love. My mom loved him like a son. We live in 2 different states but I see him when I go to visit. He is popular with the gurls. He has new girlfriend with the same name as me and he puts pics of her all over his page. He calls her my nickname cuz she has the same name as me. Why does he act stubborn. He’s holding back his feelings! Wut can I do to make at least a friendship work? I really stil love him and I know he feels the same….But I wanna give up on him all together. Is it meant? Should I give up? SORRY FOR TYPOS!
