Yahoo Group and ID Stolen?

Someone has taken an old Yahoo ID of mine and gone into one of my groups and removed 2 of my Yahoo ID's which one is the owner and the other a moderator of that group. Trying to get Yahoo to sort this out is a nightmare. Does this mean I have now lost this group I have had for 8 years to a thieving sbag.
