How to help my depressed brother?

he got into an ivy league school and he can't get scholarships so he went to the bank to get a loan and they said sure no problem, as long as you have a co-signer. so he asked my dad who told him no way. so now he isn't going to his dream school. he's been really depressed lately. what can i do to cheer him up
