Why would it matter if Jesus, was in fact married?

An idea first proposed by the authors of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" (as far as I can tell) Then made famous by The Da Vinci Code, the "unity" of Mary Magdalene, and Jesus; would it really matter, if they did have a child together? If so why?
