Female budgie turning blue and making beeping nioses?

my 10 year old female budgie has turned blue in the nose peice, she has been making beeping nioses like a finch for over a month, avain vet said lung mites.been useing all the stuff he said to use but doesn't seem to slow or quiet the noise she makes. it is so loud it wakes me up at night and she sounds like she is screaming now. another vet said pnemonia and i have been giving her amoxicillin in her water, and running the vaporizer as this seems to help. the second vet said budgies and parakkets don't get lung mites, but the other vet says they do when one bird had scaly fce mite and they travel. any opinions and input would be appreciated. thanks so much....dee
