Crocheting booties that look like chuck taylors? White Sox crocheted hat?

My supervisor's wife is pregnant and what I'd really like to make is a pair of booties that look like chuck taylor converse hi-top sneakers, and a white sox hat. Any patterns available? I couldn't find one.
